Any experiences with USR Sportster Vi ?

I've recently read an advertisement about "The new Sportster Vi".
Price is DM 298 (~ $200). After grepping via  egrep -il 'st[ae]r( |)vi' *
in this newsgroup it seems not to have been mentioned during the last
fortnight. My questions are:

1. Is somebody using the Sportster Vi successfully with mgetty?

2. Can faxes be sent / received by mgetty via the Sportster Vi?

3. Can vgetty utilize the Sportster Vi?


Please send all followups also via e-mail to me, because my newsfeed 
was both a bit unstable and delayed during the last few days (changes 
upstream). I will summarize if there is anything to summarize.
