Hi Marc,

please leave flaming on this list to me.

As you might not have seen, most of the people doing those postings
weren't even aware that they *were* sending it to the list, because it
was crossposted to de.comp.os.linux (that's where I posted a followup
and found myself mailing in German to the mgetty list...)

In addition, this *is* (albeit slightly) mgetty related because of the
recent additions to allow PPP logins directly with pap/chap and without a
unix login name.
