No.

Well, this can mean about everything. If you can fax exactly those G3
files with another modem *flawlessly*, it's a bug in the modem. Since you
don't tell us how you created them, and what ROM version your modem has,
it's hard to give any comment.

My 2864 (no "D") with ROM 1.08 faxes very well (so did it with Rom 1.04).

Work is being done, but nothing has been released yet. It works "partially",
but not really.
