fax-problems

hello,

i have problems sending faxes with mgetty 0.98 and my 
zyxel U1496E V 6.12 M.

i get "ERROR:RTN: badpage - retrain requested" for each and every page
i try to send with sendfax. 
has anybody experienced the same or do somebody know the reason? i
have no idea what to do...
