I remember feeling that way after holding my daughter's lifeless body in my
arms, and being told by the surgical intensive care staff that my wife
wouldn't live through the night. But, I've come to find out in the years
since, that there are indeed others who have had it worse than me.

There's a lot to be said for *compassion* for those who are hurting.
