Book of Enoch

I read in the word that Enoch walked with God.
And I bought a book called The Book Of Enoch from a christian bookstore.
Can some one offer some opinions on why There is not more about Enoch in
the word of Go? Where does the book of Enoch really originate from and does
any one have any facts or opinions as to the validity of its source and
contents????
Would anybody like to contribute anything on this line.
Please exscuse my typos in previous post as I am suffering from cat bite on
my finger (makes typing a little diificult).
