Bibles in China

Don't think this post made it through, (at least not here at our house),
so here goes again..............
I recently heard an advertisement on our local christian radio station,
talking about the need for bibles in China. I am sure we have all heard
stories of even our own missionaries smuggling bibles into China, and how
the Lord has protected them, and *blinded* the eyes of the officials.
Is it illegal for China nationals to own a bible? Or is it just illegal
for bibles to be brought into the country? And would it be possible for
them to access one of the many bibles online? I have wondered how, if
possible, the government there could regulate the access that its
citizens has to certain things on the internet. Is this possible? Or is
it possible to bring in a cd-rom, or disk version of the bible? Sorry
for all the questions, just curious about these things. :-)
