Well then, was "the angel of the Lord" that appeared to Abraham a
theophany or not? We are told by theologists that it was indeed the
Lord, and not a normal angel, although it took the form and appearance
of a man. Funny thing about angels: they are without father and
without mother...

Isn't is conceivable that Melchizedek was a human looking theophany of
that sort? Or are you saying now, using your own logic, that "the
angel of the Lord" that appeared to Abraham, and to Jacob the night he
went to the wrestling match, are you saying that this manifestation
was *NOT* the Lord?

Just because it looks human in form does not mean that it *IS* human
in birth! Human form does not automatically disqualify an
manifestation from being a theophany, and not really begotten flesh
and blood at all.

I am not saying that Melchizedek *LOOKED* like Jesus looked. I am
saying that Melchizedek looked like a man, but was of the nature of
"the angel of the Lord".
