Bro. Richard:
I don't know anything about this group, and I realize there are hundreds
of "pentecostal" groups, but my curiosity is piqued: what does "fourth
watch" mean?
Anyone?
Me:
The night consists of 12 hours and to insure that the guards wouldn't fall
asleep, they divided the night into four three hour watches. The 'fourth
watch' was then between 3 and 6 AM. ;-)
This is the best time to "come as a thief" BTW and is 'probably' what they
are aluding to:
Matthew 24:43
But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of
night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let
his house be broken into.
