Apostolic or Pentecostal

Okay , personal opinion...please dont take offense.
The Term pentecostal is claimed by every branch of Christianity that
believes in receiving the Holy Ghost and speaking in other tongues.
Without any regard to holiness standards or the oneness of God.
This includes ALL the trinitarian organizations such as The church of God,
Assemblies Of God, and charismatic branches of other denominations
including Baptists etc.
Anyone who has spoken in tongues claims to Be Pentecostal.
It is actually rather popular by the mainline denominations these days to
*BE* Pentecostal.
My own Mother , who is a died in the wool devout Assembly Of God member
will argue with the devil himself that *She* is Pentecostal.
On the flip Side of the coin :
The secular world has seen so many so called pentecostals fall into
disgrace before God and Man that the term Pentecostal no longer receives
respect as they associate it with the many "fallen TV evangelists." It is
hard to witness to some people identifying yourself as Pentecostal.
So we prefer to use the term Apostolic as it is fairly exclusive in use.
We know that someone calling themself apostolic believes in the oneness of
God,
Jesus Name Baptism and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the evidence
of speaking in other tongues.
Also a lot of people are also unfamiliar with the term Apostolic so it must
often be explained. Which offers opportunities for explaining the gospel.
