First of all, bless you for helping those poor orphans.
Second, I just wondered, you wrote:

Are you keeping the kittens outside or is it an indoor porch area? I was
concerned because the weather is changing constantly and that may irritate
their sinuses (eyes too) even further. Also, indoor cats are far healthier
than outdoor cats (no fleas, no worms, animal attacks, etc.) Unless of
course you're in a warm part of the country (but then, warmer areas of the
country tend to generally have more vicious wildlife).
Also, if it is a concern, puppies and kittens should have no problem
getting along if they are introduced properly and are supervised while
young.
Not trying to insult your intelligence by any means, I was just concerned
about the kitties being on the porch.:)
