One writer recently wrote the following words:

>God does not create divisions in the
>marriage relationship. He has created
>the marriage relationship and is for its
>unity. Regardless to which office God calls
>the man.***

Most of us think that if a minister can not or will not live up to
Godly standards that they should turn in their papers until they can.

Those that think that a minister's spouse is a part of this calling
must also conclude that the spous must also live the same high
standards. We would also have to conclude that if their spouse will
not or can not live up to this same high calling that the minister
should turn in their papers.

I believe that if God wants a person to be a minister, that He call
them. If he wants both the husband and wife to be a minister, that He
calls both of them.

By the way, the first person to preach the New Testament Gospel
message (Death - Burial - Resurrection) was a woman.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto
him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. 17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch
me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren,
and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my
God, and your God. 18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that
she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.
John 20:16-18

Just thought I would throw that in. The Apostles knew about the death
and burial but Mary got to be the first to complete the message. I am
a male and I like mail pastors, but if God called a woman, I would
leave that to Him. Jesus could have told the boys but He didn't, and I
am sure He could have found somebody with a better past than Mary.
Thank God He is willing to make us over again and again. . . .

Christian Love,
Floyd
