THere was a time when I was a single female that when I asked for an
appointmnent to talk with the pastor that when I arrived his wife was
there.
I was never asked If I wanted to discuss the issue in her presence, but,
I assume this was to protect his reputation as other folks do tend to
gossip about ladies alone at the church with a preacher.
I have no experience with that since I married, as since I married a
preacher I havent been in counseling with any other ministers / pastors .
Generally speaking I am somewhere nearby if not in the same room when
someone wants to speak to my husband , but it is not a hard and fast rule.
but my husband does prefer to have me there.
Thinking Back, I am glad the pastor had the foresight to have his wife
present as this protected my reputation as well as his.
