I agree with this but I think our problem is that we don't see that we
should be BOTH.

If you understand the Doctrine and don't have the Pentecostal
experience, then you have never been regenerated. Knowledge will not
regenerate, but it will lead to One who will.

On the other hand, if you have the Pentecostal experience, and don't
have the Apostolic Doctrinal understanding of God, you will falter
along the way.
God said:
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast
rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, . . . . Hosea 4:6

We saw how early in the 1960's how some denominations received the
Pentecostal experience but they would not receive the Holiness
doctrine. Look at them now. Gay churches speaking in tongues.

I have shared my story with this list. I know what it is like to be
between the Apostolic and Pentecostal groups and not know where you
fit in.

My real problem was that when I was saved in a Oneness Church (UPC)
that I believed that the experience of Tongues was proof that I was a
child of God. I spent a lot of time with my Pastor and I read all the
books and tracts I could find. I studied to prove what I believed. I
could tell you a lot about my denomination but not much about God. It
is a long story, but for several years I found myself in the
Assemblies Of God camp. It was only after I started studying God that
I ran head on into my Oneness background.

So to sum it up let me say:

(Please forgive the caps.) IF YOU DON'T HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF
THE ONENESS APOSTOLIC DOCTRINE OF GOD AND YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE
PENTECOSTAL EXPERIENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES YOU ARE ON SHAKEY
GROUND.

Ok I will put my soapbox up for now but I feel better now that I have
said it.
