I too can tell this story; for about three years after I received
the Holy Ghost and was converted, my family disowned me.
I was raised Catholic and they told me I had committed
mortal sin (the kind that sends you straight to hell, bypassing
purgatory) by entering another Church, much less joining one.
I argued with them that perhaps they would rather see me
back on drugs and once more an alcoholic instead of living
a clean, sober and godly lifestyle. All (at that time) was to
no avail. Prayer and faithfulness has made a significant
difference. Although they are not yet Apostolic Pentecostals,
they have intensified their spiritual lives in the way that
they know and they have accepted me as not only once more
a member of their family, but a source of inspiration. I will
never forget the Thanksgiving dinner where my Dad asked
me to say the blessing, that was a testimony to God's work
in me!
(Luke 6:22 KJV) "Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you,
and when they shall separate you from their company, and
shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the
Son of man's sake."
