I do not have a concordance with me right now, but another place it
explicitly says saving for himself, meaning that he did not create
himself. I cracked up when I read this, because it was written 1900
years before Bertrand Russell wrote Principia Mathematica. Russell
was trying to place all of mathematics on axiomatic ground, yet he is
best remembered for "Russell's paradox", which was already soloved in
the verse I mentioned above by Jesus exclouding himself from all of
creation.
