me: This too is my prayer, Sis. I long for my three younger
sisters and parents to know this Truth. My youngest sister was filled with
the Holy Ghost in a Pentecostal Church
of God a year before I was filled. Her church "used"
to believe in Holiness many years ago, but it has fallen
by the wayside.
We e-mail each other regularly and I have given her several mini bible
studies on Jesus Name baptism. She now insists
that she WAS baptized in Jesus Name, but her church
is trinitarian, I find that *highly* unlikely. I have asked
her to call her former Pastor (he is retired) and to ask him what words
(specifically) he used while baptizing someone. She once said to me "if it
makes you feel better, we will have
your Pastor baptize us the next time we visit". I don't
want her to get re-baptized JUST to make ME feel better, I want her to do
it because it is necessary for her salvation. I know she gets upset at me
sometimes, but I just ask her to prove me wrong (using the Word). She
hasn't been able
to do it yet. She lives in Edgewood, MD. I talked her
into going to a service at Bro. McIntyre's church in
Aberdeen. They went to Sunday School ( I was hoping
for a Sunday night service) and really liked what they
felt there, but never went back. My sister has been
praying to find a close friend since they bought their
home and moved to Edgewood. I have been praying for
God to send her a close friend also, but I am praying
more specifically, I am praying for her new friend
to be Apostolic Pentecostal. Anybody out there
live in the Edgewood, MD area? My sister is
Human Resources Director for PEVCO.
