This brings back some recent memories... I was in an accident the beginning
of this year (my fault) and happened to "run into" Anton LaVey's son. He was
in the truck that I rear ended. It was rather interesting. He was very much
opposed to his fathers beliefs and explained how he held seminars teaching
against his father. He called himself a "christian", but was very
belligerent to the policeman and accused the policemen in general and FBI
agents of being very supportive of LaVey's teachings. It was an odd
encounter and until that time, I had never even heard of Anton LaVey. The
reason I found out was the policeman said that his name sounded familiar.
That's when he became belligerent and said..."it should, you should know my
father". The policeman didn't understand and he explained who his father
was. Like I said, it was rather interesting. He was very nice to me and
didn't really even blame me for the accident because someone had stopped in
the left travel lane to make an illegal turn. I didn't stop in time. He was
actually mad that the policeman gave me a ticket instead of the one that made
the illegal turn. He kept saying how thankful he was to the Lord that no one
was hurt (but later filed a medical claim against my insurance). Anyways,
that was my first introduction as to who Anton LaVey was.
