I don't ever remember hearing about that, but I heard that the
Babylonian numbering system is based on 6 and is as follows:

A=6
B=12
C=18
D=24
E=30
F=36
G=42
H=48
I=54

(and so on through Z with each letter equaling an increase of 6 over
 the previous letter)

Checking the numerical equivlent of various words and names can
be very interesting using the Babylonian numbering system, here
is a sample, you can try many others and see what you get:

COMPUTER = 666

C = 18
O = 90
M = 78
P = 96
U = 126
T = 120
E = 30
R = 108
