Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... the listproc looks specifically for duplicates.
However, if one were to *completly* reply to a post and not <snip> much
out of a previous post, then that's a whole new post.
For courtesy sake, people should <snip> out all of the *fluff* of a post
that only adds length to the discussion and isn't an absolutely necessary
part of what's being replied to in a point-by-point basis.
For Sis Erika, check your e-mail client settings to see if there's a box
that you need to check that'll cause your e-mail client to *delete* messages
from your e-mail host after they've been downloaded. Eudora has such a box.
If it's not checked, then it's very possible that you're downloading the same
messages over and over and over all because you've not told your client to
remove the ones that have been previously downloaded.

No problemo.....
I have to admit saints, there's been a time or two when I've sat down to
write a letter to the group giving more explicit posting guidelines on how
*not* to post too much to the list. This is a good example of someone not
having the luxury of having a really speedy modem to get things done quickly.
If it was a long-distance call for her, which I don't think it is, then you're
really racking up the charges by making her dialing-in extend to 15 minutes
of hook-up time. At $.05 a min. that translates to $.75 to get her H-F
e-mail..... I think she'd rather have back way more than half of that so
that she could give the other have back to the church, eh?
We're going to be looking for *balance* folks... if what you're posting
isn't longer (in the number of lines posted) in comparison to the number
of lines retained from a previous post...... you run the risk of having
that post rejected because you've not contributed *more* than the base
of what you're replying to. <snip> up the previous post first, then write
your response. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get a post down to 10-15
lines of what you respond to before writing your own 15-20 lines of comment.
It'd make it a kinder and gentler forum to be in.....
