Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... Acts 2:38 isn't == to Matt 28:19?!?

Let's find the family name of God..... to me... if we can establish a
*family* name of God (sirname) then we can apply it to all of the family
members.

I was *born* into the family of Nally, my father was a Nally, my father's
father was a Nally.... etc. I know the Nally's didn't start that... let's
just see if the same holds true for God....hmmmm..mmmmm....mmmm.....Here!

Eph 3:14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our
          Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given
him a name which is above every name:

The *father* of Jesus has a name that the whole family in heaven is
named. What about the *father's* kids... do they have a name that
was given them by good old Dad?

Lu 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring
forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

Mt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his
name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a
son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
         interpreted is, God with us.

Mary and Joseph weren't *permitted* to name the child because the
child had to carry the name of the Father. So if the son's name is
Jesus... the name of the father is also Jesus.

To further clear-up the issue.... let's find out who the father is....

Mt 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the
Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear
not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is
of the Holy Ghost.

Lu 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall
come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshdow thee:
therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called
the Son of God.

The Holy Ghost *fathered* the Son..... so... if anything, since we know the
Son's name is Jesus, we know the Father's name is Jesus, and we know the
Holy Ghost is the Father (who's name is Jesus - we just said that)... we can
easily say that baptising in the name of the Father (Jesus) and of the Son
(Jesus) and of the Holy Ghost (Jesus) is fullfilled by baptizing in the name
of Jesus.

We're commanded to do *all* in the name of the Father (Jesus):

Ac 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there
is none other name under heaven given among men,
         whereby we must be saved.

Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the
          Father by him.

Does not the word *baptize* by it's greek definition mean
*to fully whelm* ? BAPTIZO is the word. If it's a *sprinkling*
you're after, the greek word is *RANTIZO*. Big difference between
being BAPTIZOized and RANTIZOized. If John the Baptist baptized,
it's safe to say he dunked them all of the way under the water via
immersion.

Jesus after he was *baptized* of John... this is written:

Mt 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up
         straightway out of the water:

I take it that *straightway out of the water* meant that he
was fully in it. If he wasn't baptized, it'd would have said
that he was standing in waste-deep water and some water was just
poured on him....

As I understand the tablernacle plan of salvation, isn't it the
OT priest (father) that had to wash the OT priest (Son) from head
to toe at the laver of water in order for the OT priest Son to be
clean for his ministry? Same thing here..... John *had* to fullfill
prophecy by baptizing the Lord of Glory.

As far as the apostle knowing what to do in baptism, here's one
time when Jesus was probably teaching them how to do it right...

Joh 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into
the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them,
          and baptized.

He *baptized*. The Lord baptized folks. Gave a demonstration to
those that are unfamiliar with the concept.
