Steven Hall again:
As we have been over this before I will be brief:
"> I Cor 14:34-35 are also very plain:"(from above post)
What is written is very plain, but there is a deeper meaning that can
only come from the Lord.
This is what I believe the Lord showed me.
Paul was answering a statement made by the church at Corinth, notice in;
1 Cor 7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me:
Some of the writings of 1 Cor. are statements made by the church and not
Paul, He is writing down thier statement, and giving an answer.
Same is true in:
1 Cor 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is
one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
Paul is answering the statement in 1 Cor 6:13 "Meats for the belly, and
the belly for meats:"
1 Cor 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy
Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
(Paul is answering a statment of the church at Corinth)
1 Cor 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the
body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
Answer from Paul verse 19, statement from church verse 18B, "Every sin
that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication
sinneth against his own body."
Likewise in I Cor 14:34-35, a statement is made by the church, Paul
answers with, another "What?"
1 Cor 14:36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto
you only?
Then paul says in 1 Cor 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet,
or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you
are the commandments of the Lord.
1 Cor 14:38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
The things that Paul writes is from the Lord, we need to figure out who
is saying what, and I believe this can only come from the Lord.
Your servant for Jesus sake,
