And a writer wrote:

Reading this same passage of scripture here as referred to by the previous
writer I gained a totally different opinion of the reason for her(Deborahs)
contempt for Barak.
Not due to the fact that he had submitted himself and his army to a woman,
for it was by her words that God instructed him to Go in the first place.
She rebuked him for his lack of faith, his cowardice, for he only felt
assured of God's being with him and his army's ability to win, if the woman
of God went with him. (this showing he did believe God was with Deborah and
felt safety with her being present.)
However since he had not hearkened to the original instructions to him from
God through Deborah God told her to tell him that the credit for that days
victory would be awarded to a woman.
And IT was.
But not to Deborah, The victory was credited to Jael.
Who offerred the enemy commander a glass of warm milk when after seeking
refuge in her tent he had asked for a drink.
After drinking the milk became drowsey and went fast to sleep.
this prudent woman took advantage of the opportunity and drove a tent stake
through his skull while he slept in her tent.
Thus Deborahs prophecy , the word of the Lord came true.
Jael, (a woman) was given credit for winning the battle.
And Balak stood reproved By God for not obeying the word of God delivered by
his servant Deborah. Judge and Prophetess of Israel.
It appears to me this was a disciplinary action by God to prove a point ,
that no matter who he uses to bring his word.....It should be obeyed.
God Bless.
