Someone:
Why were the apostles all men?

Sis:
>You are wrong there...watch
>
>Romans 16:7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my
>fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in
>Christ before me.
>
>Junia is a female name...you might say what about Aquilla, well, I have a
>literal translation of a NT into German and there Aquilla is called
>Aquillus (which is the male Latin ending) but Junia, stays Junia and they
>are of note among the apostles...to me that means that there is a female
>apostle. :)

Me:
The lamb from Makmudes meat shambles could have "been of note" among the
apostles, does this mean the meat was an apostle? The Apostles "noted"
these people who were mentioned is the meaning of this statement. The word
translation as apostle means simply "sent one" in the Greek. "The Apostles"
are the eleven surviving deciples of Jesus and Paul (sorry Bro. Mathias!):

Revelation 21:14
And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of
the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Judas WAS an apostle but he lost this and it was given to Paul. Note that
it says "*the twelve* apostles OF THE LAMB."

You can be *a* 'sent one' today but THE SENT ONES were the twelve men whom
Jesus sent out Himself.
