Doesn't it strike you as odd that she operated without a head all this
time,
but now she has these convictions and rules.  Would the rules (or dreaded
word
"law" here in the age of grace! :-) ) have even been necessary had the
original principle been followed of a man leading the spiritual battle?

I don't recall ever implying that she without convictions and rules in the
first place.  If you will recall, I did say she went through the complete
process any UPC missionary goes through.  She still was under their
authority.  As for her not going to an unmarried pastor's church, that was
to protect both of them from ugly rumors, etc. that Satan just LUVS to use
to exploit innocent situations.  It is the exact same reason that another
Brother in the church does not pick me up alone to take me to church, but
his wife will come with him or she will come herself.
