Yes Brother,
And Hannahs little son Samuel was a prime example of just what you referred
to.
Being brought to the temple shortly after being weaned...
God spoke to him instead of Eli the priest.
Samuel being so young and inexperienced , not knowing it was God who called
him ran three times to Eli , saying "You called Me?"
It was Eli who instructed him to answer God the next time he called .
And then God indeed spoke the word of judgment upon Eli's own household
through the child Samuel. Samuel proved to be a faithful priest all the days
of his life.
Seeing his mother only once a year, He was not corrupted by the ways  of
those around him but waited upon the Lord.

Brother Tim you spoke rightly when you spoke this.
