I had a theory about this (DISCLAIMER!! I *AM* just kidding!!)....
The reason that men were silent in the church is because the did not want
to ask questions and appear foolish in front of their peers (Kinda like
having to ask for directions.....). Whereas the women, long not allowed,
freely asked the questions, and shared the new found knowledge with their
peers (using the tele-woman system)
