A quote I once heard, goes a little something like this...

"The new age movement is not new at all---it is one of the oldest lies on
the
face of this earth. It is Eastern mysticism dressed up in Western
clothing."

As for the "mother earth" comment, I think sometimes people tend to read
way to
deep into things. I do not watch Barney or hang around people who
discuss what
Barney did or said last week, but I think in the case of the "mother
earth" commment and
the "ecosystem", more than likely Barney was emphasizing
Recycling....something
we all should do anyways. Oh, and don't be too surprised to find out a
little 3-5 yr old
might actually know what the ecosystem is! The U.S. might be slow in its
education,
but there are other countries out there which seem to be more advanced in
its teaching.
While are 3-5 yr olds are learning about counting by way of those cute
little blow up
character numbers and letters, other kids in other countries (toddler
age) are learning how
to use computer programs.(Japan)

Now, I must emphasize here that I am not *for* tv. However, saying
something is
bad because Ellen Degenerating Degeneris was on it, means we might as
well live in
a little shack up in the mountains for fear of coming into contact with
something else
that might be bad. Of course I am using a little bit of sarcasm here,
but seriously, I heard
many years back that Dr. Ruth was endorsing Dr. Pepper. Am I a bad
person for buying
that "liberal" soft drink? How about just plain old milk? I have seen
*many* advertisments
in magazines lately with *many* so called tv and movie stars promoting
milk. Most, if not
all, of these stars are probably immoral, evil characters....does that
mean I should not drink milk? See what I am saying here? Sesame Street
might be bad, or it might be good, but we
can not judge it soley on the fact that Ellen had appeared on it.

Now on to the WWW or Barney=666 comments.........
