Steven Hall pretty well summerizes what most Apostolics believe about
the name Jesus. However Yehoshuha had another idea. At the feast of
dedication Yehoshuha procliamed himself the light of the world. Keep in
mind that there is no J in his name. 


22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was
winter.23 And Yehoshuha (Jesus) walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. 
24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost
thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Mosihach ?(Christ), tell us
plainly. 25 Yehoshuha (Jesus) answered them, I told you, and ye believed

The feast of dedication is Hanukkak this year it will be celebrated on
December 24th the same as most celebrate the christ mass with the
catholics. Any way it is the only place in all the bible that Yehoshuha
shows the world how to spell his name. In Hebrew of course. we learn
from this that his name must contain certyain letters of the Hebrew
alef-bet to do it correctly. Rebbinic Jews had a problem with what he
brought forth. But those who had the revelation on which the
congregation is build received it gladly. See all of John 10.  

see Matthew 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the
Moshiach (Christ), the Son of the living G-d. 
17 And Yehoshuha (Jesus) answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou,
Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but
my Father which is in heaven. 
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I
will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against
it. 
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and
whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 
20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he
was Yehoshuha (Jesus) the Moshiach (Christ). 

it wasn't time for the world to know that Yehoshuha was the Moshiach.
This revelation would come when Peter would give the formula to enter
the congregation, Acts 2:38. at which time 3000 excepted this
revelation. notice in Matthew 16:16, that peter did not say YOU ARE
JESUS THE SON OF THE LIVING G-d.
