Ok folks, let the truth be known.......... Did Sesame Street *actually*
come out and say *Ellen is our guest today, to promote the wonderful
world of Gay living*??? And if they did, does that make the rest of
their shows bad? If you are going to boycott Sesame Street, for their
choice of guest, (which in this case is pretty bad, but beside the
point), then you can not just stop there............AT&T actively
supports gay rights....better go change the phone company........How many
work at places where *employee relations* is taught....not just getting
along with those of other colors, religions, nationalities, etc......but
also getting along with those with *Alternative Lifestyles*?......gonna
quit your job? It is even being taught in many of our public schools by
now, as being a normal lifestyle.......course, you can send your child to
a private school *IF* you can afford it, or teach them at home *IF* you
are qualified........
The problem lies not in *what* they, the children, are watching on
Sesame Street, but rather in whether or not the parents are teaching the
children what is right, or they are relying on the tv, teachers,or
society to do that. Since I would never let my child watch something
without my being there, or having already watched it myself, (not really
a point either, since we don't own a *boob* tube :-)), I do not have to
worry that she, or my son when he is older, will be unduly influenced.
If *WE*, as parents teach our children that God abhors homosexuality,
that sex before marriage is wrong, that we do *not* have the power within
ourselves to *save the ecosystem*, that only God has the power to save
what He created..............Then it will not matter what the world is
saying.........One could raise their child in *An Apostolic Bubble*, but
one day that child *will* find that the world believes quite differently
than we do......we must trust that we have *trained them up in the way
that they should go*.
Oh, by the way, I can not believe that *any* character on Sesame Street
would tell 5 year old girls OR boys to go have sex, period......let alone
in a homosexual relationship.
