I have had a thought that I have really be burdened by the Lord about
and Sis you nailed it right on the head. The true problem with the
schools is that we have disobeyed the Lord in raising our children. The
Lord commands use to teach them His ways and to raise them (that
includes educating them). Now when all the Bible Stories they hear are
in Sunday School and we send them off to school to learn we are not
obeying the Lord.
Before everyone gets riled I am not saying that everyone should home
school, I am saying that each and every parent is responsible for the
education of their child. If it is public school then be involved with
the school, go to the meetings and voice your opinion. Do not let the
few loud liberals decide the fate of your child's education. Also I have
a great deal of sucess talking to teachers about issues and found them
to be very open to my thoughts and we have even been asked questions
when Halloween came around and the teacher had a "special project" for
my son so that he didnt have to make the jack-o-lantern (he does not
like them). So take ownership and be proactive.
