The required days to be abserved are outlined in Leviticus 23. here you
will find the three main ones, all of which we celbrate, Passover,
(Pesak) Pentecost (Shavu'ot) Tabernacles (Sukkoth). Let me say here
Hanukkah is not a celabration of Yehoshuha's birth. So then how did all
of these other days like the Christ mass, Easter, get into the lives of
people where did they get their start? From a system know as the
liturgical calender in which the life of Yehoshuha is broken down into
sections of the months of the civil calender. It is by use of this
system, that Jesus birth became December 25th the Christ Mass. Passover
became known as Easter. Lent and Advent came into being. Saddly many
Apostolics follow this time line and teach it in their sunday schools as
bible.
My short story version of the Hanunakh goes like this. After the victory
and the recapture of the Holy Temple, one vessel of oil with the high
priests seal was found. But only enough oil for one day of lighting of
the menorah. G-d however alowed the one vessel of oil to last eight
days. The menorah used for this celebration has eight candles and one
helper candle holder. The number eight is the number of completion. The
Holy Temple was dedicated after the battle was won. Clearly Yehoshuha as
well as all jews still celebrate this feast in menory of the
rededication of the Holy Temple. This year Hanukkah begans on the eve of
December 24th and ends eight days later on December 30th. It is the
bible month of Kislev/Tevet. The Jewish is much more in line with
scripture then the liturgical system which was developed long after the
death of the writing Apostles. My personal desire is to be a close to
G-d as I can get even while in this world. So I and all of my students
follow this bible calender outline of Leviticus 23. If you compare the
Torah dates with that of the other system it becomes obvious that each
of G-d's intended dates are made obscure by a celebrations that are not
in line with the scripture. For this reason and a few others many
ordences that Yehoshuha ordered are practiced at the wrong time. One
example is feet washing, this practice should be done at the Passover
meal. I could gone on for an hour just on the error alone. Feet washing
is a example that is iqnored for the most part, or is practiced at a
watch night service on the civil new year. When scripture is mixed with
error a typr of witchcraft results , sometimes improperly called
paganism. Please read John 13:1-17 Shalom!
